tolkienrsb Writers, please check in by the end of Sunday to tell us you will be able to post your fic(s) in the AO3 collection on or before 4th September.
(Exceptions to the posting deadline - If you’ve spoken to the mods and agreed an extension, or if you’ve picked up a late pinch hit, the date you agreed with the mods is the date you’re working to.)
Please be aware that at this point the onus is on the authors to confirm they will be finished in time. If you do not check in promptly this time you will be dropped from the event and you will not be permitted to claim art next year.
You will have 24 hours’ grace after Sunday to contact us and check in; this is in case of genuine brain fail/life emergencies. Anybody not checked in by the time the mods check the emails on Tuesday will be dropped. We will not chase you; we will not come looking for you on Tumblr or Discord. If you have any doubts about your ability to check in on Sunday, please either do it in advance, or ask your partner to check in for you.
If you cannot complete your fic by the deadline, this is your last chance to let us know and drop out penalty-free. We will consider short extensions to accommodate emergencies.
