Good evening, TRSB-ers!

We've had a few people in touch worrying about the deadline, and your mods have had an unexpectedly busy summer too, so we haven't nudged and reminded and encouraged you as often as perhaps we should have.

As such, we have taken the decision to extend the deadline to 3^rd September. This gives you over a week extra to put the finishing touches on your masterpieces, including two additional weekends. Hopefully this will give everyone the time they need to turn in work they are proud of. Posting will then begin in staggered schedule from 5^th September.

BUT!!!! (There's always a but...)

The deadline for abandoning your fic is still 17^th August. This is because we have taken the decision that writers, whether signed up for the event or not, will be invited to write “treats” inspired by any art that is abandoned/unclaimed after this date. There will be no limit on the amount of treats that can be submitted for homeless art; we feel that it's better for an artist to receive two or three short fics than nothing at all. Leaving a little more space between the deadline for abandoning fics and the final date for submission provides more opportunity for pinch-hitters and treat-providers to create their offerings.

If you've already finished or don't feel you need the extra time, that's fine; all the more time to work on your fics for Sultry in September or Innumerable Stars, or simply to put your feet up!
