Where to find me: I’m really only active on Tumblr ( @huanhoundofvalinor ).
About me: Aside from painting, I hike frequently, tend my animals and plants, collect bones (my dogs help), and read. I really love canoeing and gardening too! Oh, and black metal and tea! My animals include my dogs (Siberian Husky and Treeing Walker Coonhound), snakes, geckos, scorpion, turtle, and betta fish. The dogs are my best friends and often make appearances in my paintings (they’re the last two in the painting I linked.) I’ve been a huge Tolkien fan since I was 8/9 but didn’t know about fandom stuff until last year so this is all really new but so far everyone seems wonderful!
How I’m joining tsrb: Art-ing. I’m really looking forward to seeing and reading everyone’s contributions! :)
About my piece: G. Kinda inspired by a hike with my dogs this spring; we accidentally spooked some big wild turkeys on a sunny morning in the woods. That made me want to paint hunting dogs and game fowl in Beleriand. With Elves too, of course.
Creative tips/ words of wisdom: I like to play painting tutorials on YouTube while I do art; it’s really helped with learning new techniques and the ambient sound is nice. I’m not really sure what else to add, but if anyone has any art questions or just wants to talk about painting/ Tolkien/ critters/ whatever feel free to send an ask or message me.
